Blue Nile Geophysical Co. Ltd. (BGC)

Blue Nile Geophysical Company Ltd. (BGC) is a joint venture company between the Bureau of Geophysical Prospecting (BGP) & Sudapet as a private company limited by shares with registered office in the real estate No. 60, blk 27, Almanshia, Khartoum.

The joint venture agreement is entered into on September 2003

 

Business Activities and Scope:

  • To carry out business in the field of geophysical research and surveys; mainly focus on 2D & 3D seismic data acquisition and gravity data acquisition in Sudan.

  • Transfer of technology of seismic acquisition and gravity to BGC.

  • Training the Sudanese staff and endeavour to increase local content.

Number of Crews:

The company started its operation by two 2D seismic crews and one 3D seismic crew .

 

Annual Production Capacity:

The annual production capacity is designed for 1500 km 2D per seismic crew Per year and 500 sq.km 3D per seismic crew per year in normal highland terrain, and will be expanded according to the actual market needs.
