Blue Nile processing Company (BPC)

The Blue Nile processing Company (BPC) is a joint venture between the Sudanese Petroleum Company (Sudapet) and the Bureau of Geophysical Prospecting (BGP).
 

Objectives
1. The main objective of the company is to provide qualified 2D and 3D processing services for clients in and outside Sudan.
2. Train Sudanese workforce the art and techniques of seismic data processing .
3. Transfer of latest technology in seismic and data processing to the country.

Achievements
Since its set up in 1999 till now, the company has conducted processing of over 40,000 Km of 2D and over 6,000 sq Km of 3D seismic data. The company also conducted many tests on reprocessing and new data including both 2D and 3D. In addition, the company also conducted over 40 different projects for processing 2D and 3D seismic data.

1. Reduce the time lost due to shipping the data from Sudan to processing centers outside Sudan and back to Sudan after processing.
2. Minimize the risk of data damage and loss during shipment.

3. Maximize the interaction between interpreters and processing centre.
4. Guarantee the confidentiality of the data.
